This policy explains how Voice Gym (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles your personal data when you use the Voice Gym app.
What we collect
- Voice recordings. When you complete a practice session, we record your spoken response (approximately 90 seconds per session).
- Transcripts. Your recordings are transcribed to text automatically.
- Feedback data. We generate written feedback based on your transcript.
- Account details. When you sign in with Google, Apple or email, we receive basic account information: your name, email address and a unique account identifier.
- Usage data. We collect information about how you use the app — sessions started, sessions completed, feature interactions and error reports — to help us improve the product.

Third-party processors
The following third parties receive or process your data in order for the service to function. We have agreements with each requiring them to protect your data.

How long we keep your data
Recordings and transcripts: TODO(legal): confirm retention wording. The current plan is to keep only each user’s most recent 3–4 recordings. Older recordings and transcripts are deleted automatically once the limit is exceeded.
Account data: kept for as long as your account is active. Deleted when you request account deletion (see below).

Your rights and how to delete your data
You may request deletion of your account, recordings, transcripts and feedback at any time.
- In-app: TODO(content): describe the in-app deletion flow once it is built.
- By email: Email us at TODO(content): insert CONTACT_EMAIL from config with the subject line “Delete my account” from the email address linked to your account. We will respond within TODO(legal): confirm timeframe.

Jurisdiction
Voice Gym is operated from India. Your data is processed in accordance with applicable Indian data protection law.
TODO(legal): confirm which law applies (DPDP Act 2023 or other) and any cross-border transfer disclosures required for Groq/Google processors.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will notify you through the app.
